Inscribed 2019CulturalOsaka

Forty-nine kofun burial mounds in two clusters on the Osaka plain, built between the late 4th and late 5th centuries for the elite of the Kofun period. They range from the Daisen Kofun — one of the largest tombs on earth at 486 m long — to small round mounds, many still ringed by moats in the middle of the modern city.
